Myfanwy Spencer Pavelic is one of Canada's most famous portraitists. This beautiful monograph was inspired by an exhibition of Pavelic's work, "Relationships," held in 1985 at the North Park Gallery in Victoria, BC. Readers are offered a private glimpse at the relationships between the artist and her medium, and the artist and her subjects.

It is our privilege to host this unique exhibit "Relationships." The depiction of persona has been brilliantly achieved by long and sensitive personal observations. One feels the affection and understanding between Myfanwy and her friends. Such is the gift of the artist whose vitality and concern has produced a magnificent pictoral record of many of Victoria's, indeed Canada's, foremost artists.
