Ed Reierson

Born in Alberta and raised in a big family under primitive conditions, Ed Reierson was on his own and looking for work at fifteen. By twenty-five he had been married twice and fathered three children. Bit by bit, tree by tree, one thing led to another and the single dad/faller was suddenly a property owner, running a small independent logging show. Soon he was bidding on Ministry of Forests timber licences. From very modest beginnings and little formal education, Ed became a very successful businessman.

When he isn't out in the bush, Ed Reierson spends his time divided between Quesnel and Salmon Arm, British Columbia. He isn't a single-track guy. He loves his work—the big equipment, the scent of the woods, the challenge of everything from cinching the deal to building the road to accessing the timber—but he also plays the fiddle, did a bit part in a movie, reads widely, builds log houses, and is generally a pretty inquisitive, inventive fellow.
