Andrea Lebowitz is a charter member of the faculty at Simon Fraser University and a founder of the Women's Studies Department in which she teaches. She is the editor of an anthology of women's nature writing in Canada, Living in Harmony, which includes a selection from Gilean Douglas's writing. Lebowitz resides in North Vancouver and Hornby Island and is an avid gardener—an avocation shared by both Jill Milton and Gilean Douglas.
