Suzanne Steele was born in 1956 in Vancouver, B.C. She holds a B.Mus from the University of British Columbia and a M.L.I.S. from the University of Western Ontario. She has worked as a longshoreman, fish worker, logger, tree planter, gardener, professional jazz singer and most recently as an analyst in telecommunications and advanced technologies. Her writing and journalism includes opinion, profiles, travel, homelife and horticultural, book reviews and technical pieces including a Hughes/Griffith Observatory award winning article on Astronomy and the Internet. Her greatest prize is Ella Josephine-Marie, born Oct. 4, 1996.
