Born in Manitoba, Patricia Bovey is a graduate of the University of Toronto. She is a former curator of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and was Professor of Art History for the University of Winnipeg. A Board Member for The Canada Council in the early 1990s, she is currently Director of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria.
